Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, including boxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, kickboxing, karate, judo and other styles. In out Mixed Martial Arts class the students will learn to use their knowledge of grappling arts such as BJJ and Wrestling and Striking arts, such as Muay Thai and boxing to gain an advantage and control over their opponents.
Since this class incorporates several different forms of martial arts we try to distinguish each form so that students gain a variety of techniques as well as learning the historical and cultural difference between them.
